Geneva office rental market

The Geneva office rental market is scant, especially in Geneva where the demand for office space is greater than the number of offices available.
 
 
The current economic environment is more sluggish than in previous years and as a result there has been a slight drop in rent prices (between 3 and 8%) for the first time in many years but more time is required to find a new location than before.
 
This drop can be explained by
  • A drop in the demand for rentals by international companies,
  • A decline in banking activities (services, finance and trading),
  • The departure of some large companies.
 
The rent for offices in Geneva varies depending on the location of the office, its floor space and prestige.
