Opening a Swiss branch

Open a Swiss branch office for a foreign company, Swiss company registration

A company with headquarters in a foreign country can open a Swiss branch. This branch is of course subject to Swiss law.
 
Company name
 
The name of the Swiss branch must contain the name of the foreign company followed by the location of its headquarters and then its location in Switzerland for Swiss company registration. For example: “Fiduciaire LPG Sarl, Paris, Geneva Branch”.
 
Registration at the Swiss trade register
 
Swiss branch offices of foreign companies must be registered with the Swiss trade register where their establishment is located.
 
Representation
 
The person representing the Swiss branch must be residing in Switzerland and must be listed in the Swiss trade register.
